Re: keyboard Vs hand writen

I'm a teenager, and I prefer handwriting. And it's good because no one can copy my notes because no one can read my writing. Not even teachers. It's too neat.

I miss ink, real pens, pretty scented stationery and going to the mail box in anticipation of receiving a hand written letter from a loved one...i also miss the act of " writing "...........E-mail is great, but for me there's no comparison..............

I prefer keyboard because so many people don't know how to write legibly. But I for sure think that kids need to learn how to write neatly. And preferably in cursive too.

I love to write by hand - I have a (mostly) handwritten journal, and a paper planner. Although it's not very readable, and my hand cramps up a bit if I write more than a page at a time, there's something much more personal and permanent about putting pen to paper.

Still, I can see why schools and businesses requested typed applications/manuscripts etc. I find it much faster to read a typed page than a written one.

I think kids should be taught handwriting.

I like how the keyboard is fast and checks your spelling. I think the handwritten letters are more meaningful though. I'd take a handwritten note any day over a typed letter. :)

Keyboard - writing very much starts to hurt my hands. And I definitely prefer to read stuff from others that is from the computer. Between people's bad handwriting and bad spelling half the time I can't read anything. I'm not sure getting the schools to do something about it would help as most of those people went to school either when I did or before and handwriting and spelling were big subjects then and they didn't help them much.
