Post by claudibee »

We've been following the elections in the US with great interest in the UK. How do American members feel about the result?

Obama is young, he is more open with his ideas. I hope he makes the change he promises. . .

Obama has made plenty of changes, NONE of them good for our country............these days even his own party is turning on him...

I wouldn't wanna be him...he could have done so much, but squandered it all...he seems quite " detached "...

while the rats are deserting his sinking ship...

Agree Ant, I just can't understand how some people just cannot accept democracy!

@suzy
I think you will find that we Europeans are equally concerned with the dreadful events in so many places - most a lot closer to us that they are to your side of the pond! But my understanding of DEMOCRACY is that when the election is over, whether your man/woman made it or not, you respect the decision of the voters, move on & put your effort into the next time. You do not appear to share that understanding of democracy - pity. :roll:

Right you are!...........I'm currently involved w/working to elect the next president, Dr. Ben Carson............( who just happenes to be Black )

I WAS UNAWARE that the above was not open to discussion, read the Constitution, it's under " freedom of speech ".....

Don't have to read the constitution...it means diddly here, I find it sad that you are airing your political stance on this forum, most averagely intelligent people are concerned with politics in one way or another and there are many places including internet sites that you can interact and discuss your views.
Personally I have never heard of Ben Carson and have no plans on finding out anything about him but I don't believe that is showing my ignorance, just my ignorance in U.S politics. My concerns are for the politics here in my country foremost and if I need to discuss I will go to the appropriate site(s) and do so and not try to force my views on people who don't want it.
