Is anyone using Oyster?

Post by LSoule »

I've recently subscribed to Oyster. If you're unfamiliar, it's like the Netflix of the reading world. You pay a monthly fee and can read all the books you want. I've only been a member a few days. Just wondering if anyone had experience with it, good or bad. I need to make a decision on whether or not to keep it before my free trial ends. :)

I have never heard of it before. Sorry I cannot be of any help with your decision. :|

How much?, that would determine my decision, sounds very good! ( if it's HALF as good as Netflix it's a winner )

It's $9.95. I use overdrive with the Free Library of Philadelphia and I should probably just stick to that. I hate waiting for books though. I guess what it will come down to for me is whether or not they have the books that I want read right now vs just a bunch of random books that I could read for free from the library with no wait list.

I SEE, well it certainly sounds reasonable enough, for someone w/no other options...

I guess it is worth it if you don't want to have to wait for the books you want to read.
