Its hard to find a decent forum with civil members, intersting threads and consistent moderation. I used to be on a few gaming ones as well as a general one and , depending on the people who joined, you could have the most vile and offensive topics with people exchanging insults back and forth with abandon. It really depends on the people present. Online book club rules! 8)

If you are into movies, IMDb.com is the place. However, don't expect to build a relationship. You just get PURE discussion, which is I like since that is what I'm looking for.

Um...and look for books you like (particularly Young Adult books...to Children's series) they tend to have their own official and fan forums. Some can be very active.

(I've got a ton of other forums, but they won't be right for this thread)
You're into Roleplaying? Aye, so am I.

No... Don't go on IMDb. If your opinion isn't with the critics you get mouthed and mouthed, if someone doesn't like your say that will beat you on it and stuff, I've seen it. IMDb doesn't do anything about it.

I like this forum, it is a good place to discuss books and also just for general BS. No other forums I have seen have anything like this, you can talk about whatever you want, also theres not the weirdos and dope heads and toilet-mouthed idiots some of the other forums have. I was on Facebook but all they have is those silly games and other nonsense. This is by far the best forum.

It's not my best, but it is on top of the list for tidiness.

E.g there's a forum I have that I have (ahh...around 300 posts?) and everyone's always talking in very slangy terms...and nothing much about the actual purpose of the forum...

How about writingforums.org or writersbeat.com? They are both good and have a decent members.
