If I write a book and I'm going to sell it on the market, how much would I sell it?

first book, anything they offer. Maybe get something added to the contract that if the book becomes a best seller you get more money or part of the profits.

I'm no where near an expert on this but it's my understanding that inspiring writers often submit a manuscript to many publisher is hope that one will pick it up. You also want to submit your manuscript to appropriate publishers, meaning you're not going to submit that horror story to company that publishes love stories.

There are publishing houses out there that you can pay to publish and sell your book but seeing as anyone can do this and thee is no editor, make of it what you will.

Try googling "How do I get a book published" you'll likely get a more accurate answer than mine.

Usually a publisher sets the price of your book, based on page count, popularity and type of book. The cost is directly related to the cost of production. However, with self-publishing you can order any quantity and set the retail price, e.g. 400-plus pages approx AU$23.95 per paperback as well as corresponding royalties. Check out the website of Xlibris Book Publishing for some more answers to your question.

Someone asked this and I answered in details ad gave a link for info on the writing thread.

It depends alot with your material.

Stephanie Meyer was able to sell her first book for 800k.

But unless your is somewhat original and has some new angle, not as much.

Good luck.
