My parents live outside of Stratford (Ontario), so I boycot this! It makes this small rural town so stuffy and stuck up! Plus, I've been to the real Stratford (in England), so I don't get what the fuss is about!Syrcco44 wrote: Has anyone been to the Festival of Shakespeare in Canada? It's awesome!!![]()

Sorry couldn't resist.
Anyways best play I have seen is Richard III. Shakespeare makes me warm inside. I would love to see more. And I will when I'm older and richer

I agree and I've seen many over the years but the one which made the biggest impression was "The Mousetrap" a murder mystery adapted from Agatha Christie's book. It has been playing in London for years and years and I think I saw its 54th year run. It's broken all records and the audience are asked not to divulge the ending!Bighuey wrote:.....I always liked live plays, they're a lot of fun.

I'm not a great lover of musicals but Blood Brothers is one I thoroughly enjoyed.

Just took your advice and Googled it .... looks truly amazing. Definitely being added to my Must Visit List.Ant wrote:There is an outdoor theatre in Cornwall, England,it is called the Minack Theatre. It's just a few miles from Lands End and it was dug and carved out of the cliff face by an inspirational woman named Rowena Cade, her story is amazing. it is a popular theatre which still runs a full programme today, many famous people have graced the stage there, with William Shakespeare being the most popular playwrite there. If you google it you can find its website, you can read about Rowena Cade, see stunning pictures of the theatre and it's sea views, plus it has a live webcam.
