I share your eagerness though Mike haha.

As soon as Halloween was over, I began planning next year's costumes and events. Well, before it was even over haha. All the same!

I do hope that they come out with something scarier movie wise...

I'm hoping for something along the lines of religion and gore in a thriller.

Like taking Stigmata and Da Vinci's Code and mixing it up with Silent Hill graphics (i.e. monster peeling girl's skin off) and some SAW like effects.
Nothing like something to make people ponder the power of faith and the fact that so many of these things are real and possible, and good ol' bloody messes to just stick it in their heads so they don't forget haha.

Mike have you seen Carrie?

I like your thinking, Dee. yes i saw Carrie and loved it, nobody does painful angst and shyness like Sissy Spacek, and the book was also fantastic so check it our post haste if you havent done so! They made a sequel to Carrie called The Rage but it sucked.

I love Silent Hill games and the first half of the movie (thought the second half dragged) but they are making a sequel to the movie, too. Youtube it under Silent Hill 2 looks quite good but weirdly like another spin off and not a direct adaptation of the games. Why the hell cant they just follow the plot of Silent Hill 2 from start to finish, it would make a great movie

Yes really, I find that most horrors have become quite dull and I just laugh instead of getting a speeding pulse or jump.
I think religion greatly adds to the effect for so many people, whether they're religious and strong believers or not.

I detest almost any movie adaptations!
Spiderman? Screwed up.
X-Men? Also screwed up.
Silent Hill? Pretty good, but yes, did drag some.
Resident Evil? Totally bollocks...
Hulk with Eric Bana? Junk.
Chronicles of Narnia? Fairly accurate, haven't seen the others.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played with Fire? Great.
And soo many other book to movie flops...

Silent Hill 2 you say?
I'm interested only because I have hope.
If they make it accurate, it would be simply fantastic.

They should make one in depth on FEAR, that'd be interesting.

FEAR would only appeal to a limited audience though, yes plenty of fans of the game but most people would feel alienated and intimidated by the plot. Thats why Silent Hill had to strike a balance between pleasing the hardcore fans and attracting horror fans who knew nothing about the series, although imo they could easily have done that by following the first movie word for word, casting Sean Bean as the lead and throwing decent CGI effects at the budget, it would be great and the story is so simple- man loses daughter in car crash on way to abandoned town where devil worship occurs!

Agree with you about the other movies, Resident Evil is a joke of a movie, as are all the sequels.

Well you know, no matter what a movie based off of a book, comic, game, or otherwise is going to upset somebody... So they might as well create a movie very accurately based on a game and get great reviews and have mass appeal to a slightly smaller audience. Though I know money is an issue.

Yes, there really are some movies that could have been done to the tee and still be appealing to many audiences. But, oh wells...

Halloween time again! YAY! My favorite holiday. Unfortuneately, I can't dress up this year due to a very ridiculously strict dress code at beauty school, but we are alowed to do hair and makeup. So, this year, after careful deliberation, I have narrowed my costume down to 2 choices. I can't pick. I love them both. Sooooooo......tell me what you guys think.

Egyptian Queen...with full elaborate Eye of Ra makeup

OR.....

Lady Gaga's Edge of Glory music video look......

I was gonna be a vampire, but there's no way in Hell I'm covering up my pretty new teeth with those disgusting rubber fake fangs. Yuck....

Hope you have a fabulous time, Teesie. My neighbourhood doesn't celebrate much and, generally, it isn't celebrated big time in Australia but we certainly know all about it. Ghosts and ghouls and things which go bump in the dark, dark streets.....

I'd go with an Egyptian Queen costume - haughty, aloof and a deadly snake.

Happy Halloween everyone!!!!!
