B, you break my heart. I put up such a good story, noteworthy of Hollywood when they make a comedy about oblivion, but you completely chopped a mention of it from your post. Life is hard for a renowned writer these days!

Oman, Julia Roberts, was a waitress in Columbia who married a drug lord by mistake but then killed him with the help of the family doctor, Tom hanks. Then they run away to Venezuela so she can run for a beauty pageant because she became so fit with dieting and excercising.

Sorry, Asma. After reading your story again, I realized that it is indeed Hollywood material. A great supporting cast would be Rudolph Valentino, Francis X. Bushman, Harold Lloyd for comedy relief and Theda Bara as the femme fatale who tries to seduce Tom Hanks away from Julia Roberts. As those actors are all dead, you could throw in a seance to call them back and you would have a great supernatural action thriller. An Oscar winner for sure.

Curse of the Demo - A horror film loosely (very loosely) based on the classic M.R. James story. A man buys an Edsel that was used as a demonstrator for a car agency owned by Mr. Scratch (you would remember him from The Devil and Daniel Webster) and as soon as he drives it off the lot, it leaks oil, the tires go flat, the brakes go out, the transmission freezes up, and it throws a rod through the side of the block. As the car is cursed, the only way he can get rid of it is to give it back to Mr. Scratch. He tries everything, from disguising it as a Studebaker to hitching a horse to it and trying to pass it off as a surrey with the fringe on top. But nothing seems to work. Does he rid himself of the curse? Be sure to see the heart-stopping climax as Mr. Scratch tries to force a 1962 Corvair on him! A real nail-biter, this one.
