Yeah...until they freak you out because you can't wake them up
Or because they're running around, bits going in all different directions!

A friend of mine had a ferret and it smelt so terribly. Do they all smell so badly or was it just that particular ferret?

Judge Judy is the highest paid TV star. She makes $47 million a year, and only works 52 days a year.

They do seem have have a very distinctive odor to them in the stores.

They're related to skunks so they do have a smell about them.
They have different sets of glands that secrete the scent.
Like skunks they have a set to "spray" but it's not as bad as skunks...thes are normally surgically removed upon being fixed.
If the ferret was fixed the major glands were probably gone. If not it would probably still have them.
I've been around both...
Also males will smell stronger than females
I don't mind the smell of a descented ferret at all...just a bit musky.

Random ferret factoid...
Females must be either fixed or bred or they will get sick and die. :(

I guess my friend's had a sort of "midwiff", you know? Stinky, but not completely intolerable. It was male, I think :)

They're like perpetual two year olds
The little weasel war dance they do is hilarious!
