its a noun....its a funky word.."funk" is even in the freakin word...can you imagine your parental units naming you this...Hello..my name is GarrrrFUNKeeeeel ahh that would be wicked.lol

its slang meaning is: the more outgoing person in a pair. You know kinda like...she's the "Garfunkel"of the relationship. its also the name of the dude in the 60's folk duet Simon and Garfunkel. Art Garfunkel. ^.^ (raised eyebrows there) Hmmm,lol..what a name! He was the more outgoing of the two..which I guess he had to be with a flippin name like Art Garfunkel.
