It's not that much. If you have a genuine interest in what they assign you, it gets done really fast. Unfortunately, not many people have this mindset.Kyle22 wrote:I'm surprised that many teens can find much time to read considering how much schoolwork they make you do.

But most teenagers do not have households to run, jobs, and kids!I'm surprised that many teens can find much time to read considering how much schoolwork they make you do.

I have to tell you guys...I skipped College out of High school. Something I really regret. Instead I had some crazy idea to join the military, get married and see the world. Ooops, then I had two babies.
Now I am 26, graduating with my bachelors with a 4.0 and I have a 5 and 4 year old. Going to school with kids, working full time, and trying to have any sort of life of my own is positively insane. Can be done though! But I recommend picking a fabulous college and having a blast!

So good luck to you all! Have FUN!!!

I worked all through high school and pretty much supported myself--bought my own clothes, my own food, paid for all my vehicle expenses. Most of my friends worked through high school as well. Is this odd or something? I thought a lot of teenagers did this in high school.callalilly wrote:But most teenagers do not have households to run, jobs, and kids!I'm surprised that many teens can find much time to read considering how much schoolwork they make you do.

@vamp666 - It's like Harry P. Don't hate the mediocre series, hate the hacks who try to cash in on a trend. God, I'd like to shoot the next wannabe emo hag to come out with a vampire book.

I had a part time job in high school, as did a lot of my other friends. But, I quit track and was only involved in theater after school. Besides rehearsal and work, I did 6+ hours of homework a night. Then I got up at 5:30 a.m. to get ready and beat the morning traffic so I wouldn't be late at 7:40. If you took the bus you were late.Bowlie wrote:I worked all through high school and pretty much supported myself--bought my own clothes, my own food, paid for all my vehicle expenses. I was considered by many universities to be not very involved with my school. It was true; I didn't do competitive sports and I wasn't a class officer or on science team. But, dayyam, I'm not superwoman.
To all you teens out there, keep on rocking the homework load and managing to read for fun! University is much, much easier!
