@BH

If you had a heavy date, wouldn't it be difficult with all your mates in the car with you. :lol:

my parents watched a movie every night on TV, it was all they had...three channels
Lawrence Welk, maybe
I have no idea how many movies I have seen that are different but I wonder if we have some sort of record for marathons
We used to have Shrek marathons every Friday night and then we had HP marathons and then we had LOTR marathons, and now that we have The Hobbit I feel a LOTR marathon coming on again
I still like to watch Shrek when I can't sleep....

So maybe another sort of question might be, how many movies have you watched more than ten times?

Not at all. We usually had dates and what we did was.... Better not go into that, this is a family forum. :twisted:

Hi rachel5. Have you seen the Hobbit? It is amazing. If you haven't seen it, make sure you see it at the movies. It loses a bit on the small screen. They have broken the movie into two parts and I can't wait for the second movie to come out. I simply cannot wait to see Smaug. :D

I saw it in the theater with my parents, brother and sister. My brother and sister have been fans of J.R.R. Tolkien's works longer than I have (ever since the first LOTR movie came out when I was seven), so I have them to thank for making me a fan. I really like the visual effects and the battle action in the films

I got rid of cable and only watch Net flix which I love! I watch one movie a day if I do not have a new book to read. Usually I watch/listen these movies as I do online work. I mostly have been watching Kungfu movies recently. Hopefully once I get approved to read some new books, I will have plenty of books to read. :D

I watch a ton of movies, it's my peak interest and I hope to make a career in it. I watch one a weekday and 2-3 per weekend. So far this year I've watched 140+ films, which is more than usual.

Its a rough figure. Its probably less, but still its in the thousands. Im 74, and when I was a child my parents were great movie goers and went to a movie once and sometimes twice a week. In those days they had double features and when I was a teen TV came in and they showed a lot of movies sometimes most of the day. I probably watched an average of 10 movies a week since my teenage days. Figuring 10 movies a week since I was about 14 is over 20,000.

Going to movies is my favorite form of escape. I usually go to one every weekend if there's something decent showing, which isn't always the case. I used to watch a lot more at home, but I just don't have the time anymore. Plus, TV dramas have become so good, I'll often follow them instead.
