Probably because by 8 they become quite manageable. It's toddlers that are the challenge, I spent years not even being able to use the bathroom by myself...course now I have a dumb dog trailing in with me...

I never regretted having my baby boy. I just wish he would have come with a time turner from Harry Potter!

I don't remember the last time I slept past 6am. Although it makes the day feel a lot longer - I kind of like being awake knowing everyone else is asleep. :D

Dirty little secret about being a Mom, even if you don't admit it to a living soul...there might be times as your child matures when you might seriously ask yourself "What on earth was I thinking?"...and that's okay, don't feel guilty...motherhood is the hardest on the job training you will ever do...

My mother in law offered me the best advice after my daughter was born " I'll give you advice, everybody will give you advice, but I'm tellin' ya, everybodycangotohell, it's your kid and you'll make your own mistakes, don't worry about other people...she would have been awesome on The Sopranos...rest her soul

I got a job that I have to get up at 4:30 am to go to work. It is wonderful for me, because I'm already used to getting up really early!

Just spent the last few weeks making myself ill worrying about school starting. We got there today only to find they had my kid slated for class in the next town over...but a bunch of kids from her old school are there too so she did okay. Huge relief for the moment...Motherhood, the rollercoaster ride
