I'm only joking about Mike for what he said in his post, I am sure he is not an ageist. I don't know whether he is an atheist or not. Being a good Irish boy I don't think he would be an Atheist. Mike if you read this let us know. :D

I am Atheist, I have many good reasons to be, but each to his/her own, some of my closest friends are deeply religious.

Buddhist here (also an atheistic philosophy) but I have friends who are both deeply religious and no religion at all...and we get on fine.

Thinking about ageist and atheist reminded me of the dyslexic insomniac agnostic I knew who sat up all night wondering if there is a dog. 8)

I love this forum. I've yet to see anyone who has been rude, which is very rare considering the member count!

Lots of great discussion and I have lurked for a while and ended up ordering books after reading great reviews from this forum.

@ Fran and Gannon, Im what you call a typical 21st Century Catholic: I dont go to mass, I am completely cynical of the Catholic church after all the sex scandals and their effects on so many people. I stopped going to mass when i was 17, got grief from my parents for a while but they gradually accepted it. I do believe in God but not the cranky and vengeful, gay hating God drilled into me as a kid, I would like to think God has more tolerance than a lot of his corrupt, money hungry servers in the Vatican. I pray regularly if that counts.

@Gannon, nah im not ageist just missing some of the old crowd thats all. Laci and Fascist prob wont be back but as I sadi move onwards and upwards. Im waiting hard on this Tuesday when I can head to town and buy Stephen Kings new book Dr Sleep. Bring it on. :D

P.S Gannon, is that your real picture as your profile? If so.....HOT (thats all Im saying  )
