Thats right I forgot youre a city girl and dont know anything about animal husbandry. I heard about a guy who was into animal husbandry until he got caught at it.

Back to the subject. Another feel good movie was The Searchers with John Wayne.

Well I haven't seen the Intouchables but we used to watch The Untouchables TV series late night when I was little
it was about Elliot Ness and I always liked it because it was an excuse to stay up late with my dad - my mom would go to bed and we would sit up and watch Johnny Carson and Saturday Night Live (when it was good, Mr. Bill and Roseanne Roseannadanna and The Coneheads) except I do like Lowered Expectations....
It isn't a movie either but talk about feel good TV, Johnny Carson in that turban holding up those envelopes! So funny!
and Carol Burnett, loved that show
and Laugh In, o my goodness

L.C., those were the " good old days " of tv.............i remember Johny w/the turban, hilarious...but i go back even further to Jack Parr,Dody Goodman, Alexander King, etc... and Jerry Lesters " Open-House " w/Dagmar...

In those days i was a real night-owl, and while my kids and husband slept, i did all of my housework...the TV was great " company "...every night out came the ironing board to iron their dresses...( this was all pre-" permanent press " )
nowadays can't remember the last time i used an iron, good thang cause i sucked at it...now, i prefer using my hand steamer...much easier............

Later on when my girls were pre-teens, we'd all gather around the telly once a week to watch a very popular show called " FAMILY ".........that scene is embedded in my memory bank forever..........everyone piled into our bed in a semi darkened room, all cozy and comfy, were one of the happiest moments EVER in my entire life..........i savour them till this day...

Thank God i had such positive little vignettes of family life back then, little did i know what Hell awaited me w/the ensuing teen-age years...............

Oy Vey, Dios Mio!

LC, even in Utah some of those Good Ol Boys had their kinky moments.

I remember Steve Allen, he had one of the best late night shows. As did Dick Cavett.

I do. I never saw a lot of his shows, I worked nights when it was on. But what I saw was way ahead of its time.

I was just a kid, but he always tickled my funnybone...Trivia: his wife was Edie Adams, Marilyn Monroe look-alike and pitch woman for Muriel Cigars, a VERY popular tv commercial at the time...

There's a Comic /radio personality out of Chicago ( MANCOW ) who's a dead ringer for Kovacs...

My wife tried a cigar once. It made her sick. And it didnt help when I asked her how far did you have to chase that dog? I still have the scars.
