One of my friends does patio gardening. She just has a huge collection of terra cotta pots on her patio, she always has good luck with tomatoes and cucumbers and peppers. Generally, she grows hot hot peppers and we always have way too many tomatoes so she brings her peppers and half a dozen jars and we combine resources to make salsa every year.
Adventure...one part stupidty plus two parts perseverence....yeah, that's me!

When I was a newlywed I enjoyed doing it, plus I had to be very frugal...

Presently, I neither have the time or the patience...just watching that tv show drives me NUTZ...( after all, " time is money " )

I'm very grateful that I'm outta the coupon bizz...........I'm not a shrink but those gals on the tv show strike me as a tad O.C.D., am I wrong?

I love watching extreme couponing. As an ex-military wife I always thought I could get a bunch of things on the cheap and send a bunch over to our troops and to make blessing bags for the homeless. Or donate a lot to those in need. I tried to get into it on a larger scale and found myself feeling overwhelmed.

I ended up giving up on it for a little while and now I coupon on a much smaller scale. Just for things I need right now in conjunction with my club card. Someday I'll try to take it further again, but it's going to take time to work up to that. Right now I'm also creating a database for my sales cycles at the stores I frequent. That will come in handy later.

Of course! And because most of things I eat are organic and clean they are usually more expensive. I look up the coupons I need and print them out before I head to the grocery store. For anyone who likes couponing and you want to actually be able to see your savings, there are tons of apps out there but I really enjoy the app called ibotta. Basically you buy products featured by specific stores or online, you scan the barcodes, photograph your receipt, and submit it for a rebate. It adds up quick and they even have some bonuses to earn even more :) They also allow people to work in teams to earn more bonuses and to encourage each other to redeem more offers :) If you want to join my team then sign up with my personal referral code which is: idxyteb

My DIL is the Couponing Queen...it is amazing. She has promised to show me the way of the "Coupon". This girl can go in and buy 200 worth of stuff and by the time they do the price-match,, double coupon or in some cases triple coupon, coupons for free stuff and bonuses for surveys...she ends up with a 25. bill. I half expect them to owe HER money sometime!
