Teesie wrote:My current favortie is The Vampire Diaries. I'm obsessed with Damon! He's so gorgeous and sexy. I love Buffy the Vampire slayer, and True Blood is ok, but it's not my favorite. I like Charmed, Ghost Adventures, Ghost Whisperer, Medium, Dead Like Me, etc etc.

LOVE Laverne and Shirley, I like The Adamms Family, The Munsters, The Beverly Hillbillies, Happy Days, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, The Wonder years, Mr. Ed, Gidget, so on and so on....

Also, I like some the British Comedies that come on my local public tv channel on saturday nights. Absolutely love Are You Being Served! so funny. Waiting For God is great. As Time Goes By, Keeping Up Apearances, and Old Guys. I also like that soap opera that comes on, Eastenders.

As far as newer shows though I like The Singing Bee, Americas Got Talent, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Lingo, The Newlywed Game, Law and Order: SVU, Community, 30 Rock, and the Secret Life of the American Teenager.

There's lots more, but I can't think of them all right now.
I like the British comedies, my favorite is Last of the Summer Wine, about these old goofy guys that do crazy stuff. I can relate to that. :lol:

^ Have ye ever heard of the "League of Gentlemen"? Its a very oddball english comedy set in the fictional town of Royston Vasey and has some memorable characters such as Pauline the Dole Officer and the Local Shop owners, its very much you either love or hate it but give it a go and see where you stand.

@Bighuey
Which of the guys in Last of the Summer Wine do you relate to? I just want to get a mental picture of you. You don't seem like a Compo but which of the others?

@ Fran, I would say a little of all of them. Maybe mostly like Truly.

Oooh, I forgot about The Last of The Summer Wine. I liked it too. It used to come on here, but they don't show it on PBS anymore. I've seen League of Gentlemen too, I liked it as well.

Been watching a lot of "Four in a Bed" lately, its about 4 B&B owners who stay in each others respective B&Bs and pay only what they think the place was worth, and the couple with the highest overall payment wins, lots of bitching and good tv when it comes to the end and its a welcome change to Come Dine With Me.

Sex and the City, Californication, Nip/Tuck, Hung. I've been curious to check out Game of Thrones, as I have heard very positive, and very negative reviews.

My favourite TV series is "The Big Bang Theory".

This may be slightly off-topic but I read Terry Pratchett's Discworld books and recently enjoyed "Going Postal".
In about a week the two-part TV version of "Going Postal" will be screened here. It stars Richard Coyle, David Suchet, Claire Foy and Andrew Sachs. The thing which I am excited about, apart from a weird and zany story coming to life, is that Terry Pratchett has a cameo part. Not being a professional actor, Pratchett apparently had some difficulty in his small walk-on role and, in his own words, "needed six takes to master the tricky task of walking across the room".
I'll be watching!
