True, theres a lot of weird stuff in this old world that cant be explained.Tralala wrote:Oh, yeah, well....that might be the deal with my mom, too. She's not a HUGE druggie, or anything...just kinda walks around in a cloud...but still. I'm open-minded. 'Cause you never know what you don't know, y'know?Bighuey wrote:My sister-in-law and her husband always saw ghosts and demons just about everywhere. I could understand why they did, they were druggies. Thats a good excuse I guess.

They all had stories of where and when they had seen her. I would love to have seen her and change my belief in ghosts, but alas I never saw her.
Maybe when you expect them to come they don't.

Lots of reasons, there is the old one of never seeing one of course, but I like to think i am reasonably logical about this sort of thing. Why is it that only certain people "haunt" according to some, and the people who reckon they were someone else in a previous life...why was it always someone famous/infamous e.g. Bonaparte or Elizabeth I, people never remember being a butcher from Manchester do they?TimeKeeperApprentice wrote:Any reason why you DON'T believe in ghosts?
Why is it always human ghosts that are "seen", what makes us so special, nobody ever sees ghosts of all the animals we eat do they, nobody ever reports seeing a ghostly T-Rex trotting down the street, why are we unique...when did ghosts start, T-Rex time, stoneage, during the Roman Empire, and ask yourself, do the ghosts of fish and whales haunt the oceans frightening the living fishes?
Sorry...I just don't believe, maybe one day something will change my mind....

It's rumored that some people want something to say before they pass on(unfinished business to take care of) and maybe they don't even know they're dead. Why is that only certain people "haunt"?

How do you know? Many dog lovers (of which I am not one) would argue that their dog has more soul than many humans.TimeKeeperApprentice wrote:Animals don't exactly have the kind of souls we humans have. If I were to answer your question "What makes us so special" I would have to include religion I'm not sure I can here. Also just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean they don't exist. For example have you ever seen a billion dollars in person?(the bills not the checks). It's rumored that some people want something to say before they pass on(unfinished business to take care of) and maybe they don't even know they're dead. Why is that only certain people "haunt"?

Ooops. I forgot you live in England. Well I respect your opinion that you don't believe in the super natural. P.S I never knew animals had souls like ours. Maybe there is a Animal HeavenAnt wrote:I've never even seen fifty dollars

Why not????? I'd like to hear about that...sounds fascinating.StephenKingman wrote:I had a supernatural experience when i was 7 years old that i will never forget, it was a shared one in that 2 other people saw exactly what i saw and felt what i felt and i have spent a lot of my older years trying to research what exactly could have been behind it. I wont describe it but the closest thing i came to describing it during my research was a 'time slip', i remember the details as clear as day and i have forgotten so many other things from my early years. It may be the reason im fascinated with horror to this day and why i love the supernatural. I cant definitely say i believe in 'ghosts' but there is definitely a lot about this world we dont understand.
Why do I always seem to come off as sarcastic in forums and emails and such? I know I usually am, but when I'm not...well, I'm not sure how to come across as sincere without saying "I'm sincerely sincere". Which sounds really sarcastic. Anyway, I wasn't trying to be sarcastic, Mike.
