Gender stereotypes really annoy me. That is, when they're taken seriously. There's always a certain double-standard involved that really coils me up!

That one, for a start. But also that men don't, which is absolute rubbish. That all men like football and cars and moustaches, which is just absurd. There are so many I don't think I could name them all

That women are more catty than men is ridiculous. That men should talk about booze and women when they're together I find absolutely repulsive, but also that women talk about men and clothes

That all gay men are camp is another one that annoys me. That they all wear leather spandex and dye their hair pink just because they like the same sex is just tedious!

The people that adhere to these stereotypes really need to ask themselves why they do. Unless they're willing to prove that their inclinations are inherited (which they're not) then there can be no reason to say: "it's just who I am!" I'm not referring to somebody's sexuality, of course, but the various ways they display it

I'm also annoyed by the whole 'I have a type' thing...
I just don't get it.
Especially when people 'have a type' only to wind up with someone who is the exact oppisite...
