Dont know why about Fair City actually, you would imagine a high rated show would be on the list but its RTE so we cant assume any logic. Ooh leave some Lucozade for me Fran, im addicted to the stuff, only plain Lucozade though none of your Orange or Sport.

Okay so I order and new internal hard-drive from newegg.com (great site for computer equipment) and I call just to see if I can get free shipping. No deal, okay wasn't really expecting it. So I get an e-mail saying that it shipped and it gives me the tracking number. So for shits and giggles I go to UPS and track the package...It shipped from Edison, NJ.....I live in Edison, NJ. I could have picked the HDD in less than 15 minutes. So I paid 8$ to ship a package less than 5 miles from my home and it'll probably take two days to get. Grrrrr

So Christmas Eve Chris, Laikos, and I went to his Aunt Sonia's house to just get together with his family and hang out and open presents at midnight. Being the 1st time Laikos has gone over there, we hoped it went well...
As soon as they opened the door little Ashley the old pain in the butt dog went psycho violent on Laikos who's at least triple her size and scared her off. Laikos went running and couldn't do anything because she had her little halter on and ended up pulling so hard that collar and all flew off. Laikos went and hid under a car. Yes, somehow managed to squeeze her 75lb+ body between the curb and suv... Then Cash the shepherd puppy was a punk sniffing and licking her butt and just annoying her. She really got along as long as they played and he gave her a break. but she knew Bentley so there wasn't a problem there. Then Laikos for whatever reason, maybe not knowing that the floor changed consistency? Walked into the pool's deep end. Walked, not fell nor jumped, walked... Didn't even flail when she was going in the water, just kept on going to the middle then turned back and crawled out. It was such a laugh. But that eventually led to her being outside all wet and the other dogs were let in... So unfair. My dog is always outcasted and given a bad rap just for being bigger and happy. It's ridiculous!
So I said forget that and I dried her off as best as I could and let her in. The dogs went crazy playing and his Aunt just said "oh just take them all out!" Except Ashley who got to stay in Sonia's room to keep her from fighting with Laikos who could easily just bite her in half...
Then because Laikos is such a social dog and wanted to be with the people, she kept standing on everything. She managed to stand on the backing of a patio couch that was only like 4-5 inches wide, and ended up putting a small hole in their window screen when standing up at it.
And knowing how pissed Sonia got when Bentley put a hole in her screen the previous year, I was worried at that point...
So I did tell her and said I owed her a screen. Then she let Ashley out at about 1:30am (most people left, just Sonia/daughter, her boyfriend and son, and Chris and I)and of course immediately Ashley started barking it up at Laikos again who was doing nothing but sitting at the door wagging her tail and sticking her tongue out. Poor dog just keeps getting criticized...
So soon after, Sonia politely kicked us out and we had to spend the night at Chris' dad's house. Flippin' 2:30am and we had to do more driving when Riverside was already a 40 minute drive... I feel sorry for Chris and all that driving, we drove back home almost and hour Christmas day, and back that direction another 30 minutes. It was ridiculous!

So Chris' mum was going to go back to Sonia's Christmas morning for breakfast and such, but Sonia called her later that morning and told her not to come because they were going out to eat. Then Sandra (his mum) got mad at Sonia when she found out we had to leave, which led to an argument over a Nutcracker ballet they were going to go to (Sonia was just making excuses), which led to an argument with their mum, and it just hasn't ended. So they're not spending New Year's together either. It's terrible! a fight over flippin' nothing? And something completely predictable and expected with dogs? My goodness. I feel the most for my poor outcast of a pup and Chris' mum, she's had a lot on her plate. But I'm tired of it always being my fault and I got really mad that Laikos is blamed for everything. Any poop or something out there she was blamed for. Just because she's the biggest one!

Goodness that was long...

haha... At first i thought you meant that you went to Laikos' Aunts house and i was like "Whoa! You do keep a tight hand on Laikos' family!" haha... i read it three times.. then i got it. Heehee! You know you missed my smart dumbness-ness-ness!
But all seriousness aside... Poor Laikos!

So, I went to my university today. It's free day so I knew it's closed but on school site there was the information that the lady I needed to see is on duty today. When I got in there it turned out that she isn't. So I ask, why do they give false information on the school site!? Ugh! But, my fault, I should know better after 5 years :/

And my old dog is getting blind. When I walk him he bumps in snowdrifts, trees or whatever is on his way. Today he bumped in a parked car and he hit his head. Which might look funny but my heart hurts when I see it :(

Thank you :) I was learning English long before I went to this university so it's not their merit. Well, besides some business English which I don't use here anyway :P However, I am not saying it's a bad school, they just annoy me when they don't give the proper information and I waste my time because of that. I drive 40 minutes there to just see the closed door. Well, there was this guard with one eye brown and one blue so I at least saw this :P

Really, you can speak some Polish? Do you learn it?I'd love to hear that :)

Okay.... i swear this thread was made for me in mind (Thank you Mike my sweet!).

So... Talking to a friend today i got rather mad because she used "eri 1 hs ther on stre" instead of saying "everyone has their own story." I cannot stand that! What the krikey happened to our generation that we started skipping out on words or using numbers, or just completely messing words up completely?!?! Seriously? Is it that hard to actually spell stuff out?! It's EVERY. Not ERI. I mean... seriously. What's an eri? Does anybody know because i sure as heaven don't. Oh! Or wat instead of what. Really? What's the point in that?! And this girl was our Valedictorian! She was the smartest person i have ever meant. What happened in the past couple of years that miss spelled words like "wat" became her new vocabulary? I swear... i may be the same age but kids today drive me crazy. I'm actually ashamed to admit that i'm the same friggin' age as them. I may miss spell words accidently, i mean I'm not perfect, but to do it repeatedly and on purpose! Why?! Am i seriously the only one that gets bothered by this stuff? Please tell me everyone else is like twisting in their seats to fix peoples vocabulary because i sure as hell am. Anyone!? Ugh! :x

I see exactly where you are coming from, Laci, i blame the mobile phone! Back when they first started offering the text option, people jumped on it as a quick and easy way of talking so it wasnt long before they got impatient and started abbreviating, often (as you mentioned) to the point of obscuring the message- i would hate to have to sift through messages with terms like "wut", "d" "Stry" etc, it is just lazy. I am guilty of sending short and sweet messages so this isnt a hypocritical rant as i was that soldier many times but i do try and make an effort with texts and email etc not to shorten the message so much that it makes no sense. But i fear for the youth! Many of them have been raised on this broken english and were it not for school and textbooks they probably wouldnt even know a different way of writing.

Im lucky in that i write a lot on lab notebooks and sheets etc at work so that (and reading, of course) keeps my English fresh. Im not a big fan of the internet speak to be honest, stuff like LOL and LOLZ and ROFL etc etc, not my thing, think its a bit of a juvenile phase to be frank. An emoticon or exclamation mark often does the trick :D

(As a side rant, i HATE predictive text options on phones, i have never found it to be faster than normal text and the words thet they suggest often dont make sense, i know a female mate who sent a quick predictive text to her male friend that actually read "Will you rape me?". Oops.

Me! I'm with you. I hate when people write like that. And it's not only trend in English because kids here don't care for spelling at all either! It's sooo annoying  AnD tHey WriTe LiKe ThaT which makes me even more furious. I don't know what's going on with people.

PS. I am not so bad in deciphering those short words but I had no idea what that sentence your friend wrote is.
