Mike- Of course i dont think your forcing people to vote! I only meant we sure as hell can't make them read when and what they dont want to read so obviously we can't make them watch movies with us if they dont want to. I absolutely understand why your keeping up with the book of the month, i'm only sorry i havent helped with it. But i don't really read newer books so all of my votes would be for old Elizabethan and/or Classic books which would have many people running for the hill's. I'm trying to keep people here longer by shutting the hell up and reading my own stuff. haha... i never meant anything by it and i'm sorry if you thought i was being mean towards you. I would never do that on purpose! Your the Mike to our Ike! Your the Ear to our Fear. Your the Lolli to our Pop. Your the Love to our Live's.. oh wait, no... haha.. but you know what i mean... haha.

Fran- Yays! For Ike! :D
We're quite the little group aren't we?
Dum. Dee. Mike. Ike. haha...yays.
And me and Dee are perfectly happy with being the Yin to your Yang as long as we get to be the hyper part of this group. heehee...

Agreed Dee! Ok's so Mike and Ike what are your thoughts about the annual movie nights?

Ok Laci we will just put it behind us. As for your annual movie nights idea, i love it, we would have to all agree on the movie though so there would have to be a few rules like genre, time and date etc but i know that sounds a bit stuffy so maybe a suggestion for a movie would be better and if people see it great but if not then no harm, but im open to suggestions Laci from you and anyone else so lets hear em! :D

Well onwards to movie choices then...

And Mike yeah, time and all of that would be very difficult and I understand that there are some movies that some people will just NOT watch. I'm a total movie lover and go for anything really so I'm sure I'd be okay with what's suggested.
I figured if anything, some people would want to participate but may not care for a specific movie which is why we could have say 2 maybe maybe maybe 3 movies up for watching to discuss. For a little variety, and so people are included.

And anyhow, I know I'd end up watching all of the choices so there'd definitely be conversation!

I say... Gia, House on Haunted Hill (I really can't decide a horror...), and the talented mr ripley.

I've been pondering the movie choices the last couple of days, Mike, and i must say... i dont know. There's so many choices! Old. New. English. French. Italian. German. Hindu. Norwegian. Ect. :(
I'm all conflustered... it's enough to drive somebody crazy. I love the idea... but actually coming up with movies to vote on is hard.
Give me a couple of days and them i'm sure not only will i have something, so will eveyone else! haha... Homework assignment everyone!!! :D {Except for Dee since she's already posted her idea's.}

Well i like the idea and im sure we can come up with a system where we can all watch the same movie and comment on it the day after or whatever. I love horror, comedy and thriller movies so even if it was only a few of us im sure we can agree on a movie in that genre. :D

That sounds good.

We could just pick 3 genres, and pick one movie from each. And they could be movies we haven't seen so no one is REALLY biased towards one.

But how do we know which movies none of us have seen? Even then after a while it's going to be slim pickings because atleast one of us would have seen each good movie. See?! It's a confluster!

We can always watch a movie a second time, cant we? And then comment on what we loved or hated but i think it makes sense to just include all movies and all genres then just to keep some variety.

I agree Mike!
You can be biased on a movie even after you;'ve seen it, so only picking movies we havent seen to avoid being biased doesnt help any.
So i'm thinking a horror the first round, to start the nessness of the funness. Yea?
Should we start with Classic horror or new horror??

Hmm, maybe classic horror, i suggest we throw a few names in the hat and then do a poll or we could just agree on a film what do you say? I suggest The Haunting of Hill House (1963), officially the best haunted house movie ever made imo. We could all agree to watch the movie on a certain night (different time zones means it wont be simultaneous) and discuss it the day after in a dedicated thread, then another movie the week after and so on, this is open to EVERYONE so join in. :D

All suggestions welcome.

Well see thats what i was going to suggest so i guess you get my vote!
But just so we have another name in the game i'll throw out Creature From the Black Lagoon (1954). Ultra classic. I truly believe everyone should see this movie before they die. :D

Legend of Hell House (1973)!! And though its not classic horror: Rocky Horror Picture Show!! But I would pick House on Haunted Hill (1959) as the best!!!
