Dee- They were 18 high because my dear District Manager is crabby and wants all merchandise "high and tight!" so if it's twenty tall it's fine as long as it's not in the walking way.... therefore it tumbles every time. Normally on me. Yay me....

Carusmm- Yes blue does sound funny. But i'm sticking with that... Im all blue. Darn water...
I hope that you were not too bruised, laci_baby.

laci_baby blue would make a good headline though.

I hope you have the compo claim submitted Laci ... I know a good lawyer if you need one.
Seriously though I'd love to see the security videos from your shop ... must be hilarious.
Oh they are a hoot...
those poor camera's have caught everything from me tripping through double doors and breaking another associates nose that was on the other side, to falling off ladders and onto mountain high boxes which of course fall with me on them and throw me across the room.

Thankfully we do have a comp thing. Strangely i never break that much at work so i never really use it... hmmm...
I do get regular calls from my DM to make sure im still alive though... haha... so there's that.

Carusmm laci_baby making headlines would be awesome! but i'd rather not make them for my being blue...haha.

Hahaha, it's cool, a friend tried scaring me in 8th grade as I was walking out of the locker room and I popped him one on the nose breaking it... Whoops.

So today I did the most amazing thing!

I have a habit of doing this on railings, tables, things I can get a grip on:
http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/10192 ... Image-Bank

And I was at the stadium today, leaning against the railing and naturally decided to do so.
So I'm up there balancing, and then my right elbow clicked (due to previous injury) and it just went slightly lower than my left making me uneven and caused me to lean forward towards the bleachers where my back was facing.
It was all in super slow motion, at least to me, as I saw that I was falling, and yet my pulse didn't quicken at all nor did I do anything. I heard some guy behind me yell "OH MY GOD!" and stuff haha. Then at probably the last possible moment, I arched my back and brought my legs down more, causing me to skim the railing with my head and only kicked one of the seats in front of me.
I landed on my feet, it was absolutely amazing.
People were just staring, hahaha.

And so, I narrowly missed knocking myself out and totally knocking the wind out of myself, and possibly spraining an ankle hahaha.

It was just fantastic! I was very proud, such an amazing save.

Well good sir, I've read some books on it haha. Thankfully.

Yeah Dum, as do I.

As much as I've been hurt, I've soo many amazing close calls and saves, I only wonder what state I'd be in if I haven't had those...

I'd be Repo Men girl status right there trick ;)

My word, Laci...sounds as if you may have reason to file complaints with OSHA [Occupational Safety & Health Administration].

Dee- Just think how you'll be when your older. I'm already terrified i'll pop a hip out at thirty if i survive that long..haha.

Lonestar- I agree. I'm clumsy. I've always been clumsy. I'll be clumsy until i die, well actually it may as well be the death of me. But i dont care. I hurt myself worse off the clock then i do on it, so it's good. No OSHA needed. haha...

Haha, and then you could possibly be fired for calling OSHA on your business...

They're sticklers on everything!!!

Trust me, my mum for some reason did for one of our auto shops... It wasn't that it was a hazard or anything haha, but she thought she was supposed to!
It got almost all of the shops on our block notices...

You can't have an extension cord sticking out 0.025 in more than the requirements...

Haha, just blame it on the clumsiness 'cause we know that's the cause of it.

Tweedles don't need legal action!

Methinks one could have grounds for a wrongful-termination lawsuit, then.

Well, clumsiness is only human, but blatantly disregarding or downplaying employee safety is another matter. I've seen co-workers almost killed because of lax safety procedures in the workplace. :?

What did your mom complain about that she thought should have been?
