That is quite disturbing actually....(keeps a very close eye on Cold!re.... :| )
Michael is only jealous because I only want to tie down women. He'll just have to find himself a different sort of sailor. I'm dubious about his chances of finding "that sort" in the Irish Navy. There's no, "Six months at sea without the sight of a woman, so what else is available?" for them. The Irish Navy never sails out of sight of land.

I think Coldfire has beeen spending a little too much time with that 50 Shades trilogy... @@

I can only speak about the food on Royal Navy warships. It is (or was, as I should say) far better than the lads could ever expect to get at home. They wouldn't want to go home for lunch. On the other hand, the Irish Navy probably don't even have galleys on their ships. They probably just take boxes of crisps aboard, to keep them going between stays in dock.

Goodness! You mean that when you said, "lunch", you really meant wicked, sinful things? And from a Convent girl, too! You have been having  sinful  thoughts, and I must punish you for your own good.

As the first stage of your punishment, you must submit to being tied down...

I hope that this is all jokes, and not the way that Western people usually behave!

You don't really do these things, do you?

"Stop partying all night with those losers and marry me or else!"

Easily the best advice I have ever been given and changed my life in one sentence. I don't know where I would be now if I had not taken that advice. Hades I know that you are probably going to read this as you love it(stop laughing at Dindin :D) so "thankyou for saving me from myself, I owe you more than I could ever pay back, but I will spend my life trying, you're the best."

Ps @RoseoftheDawn, that's just the way Coldfire is, you get used to him. :D

Yes. You should only think about these things after you are married. And a husband should never have to tie down his wife, because she should live to please him.

Rose .... Ah please
I must go to bed as I have to get up to go to work in the am - independent career woman with OH who would never for a second countenance that I should "live to please him". Boy am I glad I got a guy whose mammy brought him up to accept, without question, the concept of equality ... but he did find your post amusing  I just find it sad!

Yes. I now know about C0ldf1re and his pretending that he wants to find a wife, when he is already an "OH" to Fran. I was brought up to think that Englishmen had a sense of honor. I will never speak to C0ldf1re again.

Hold on a minute, don't tarnish all Englishmen with the same brush. And the Idea of Coldfire being Fran's other half is absolutely hilarious.

It is quite proper for you to "stick up for a friend", Ant. (I hope that I have the English right.)

C0ldf1re told me that he was a single and unattached man, who was free to marry. He promised to meet me as a friend, and to treat me with the same respect as if I was surrounded by uncles and brothers. He showed me that he was wealthy, and said that his wife would have a British passport. He seems to be a very attractive man from his photos, and no doubt he has played the same tricks on other girls.

All C0ldf1re's and Fran's posts about their breakfasts together are still on the forum. It is clear that he has been Fran's "OH" all the time, and he was simply deceiving us both. He obviously wants a Western #1 wife, and an Indian #2 wife. I told C0ldf1re my religion, and he clearly did not bother to find out that we do not practice polygamy.

Please, Ant, do not try to make any more excuses for your friend. C0ldf1re is very charming, but he is not honest to women. It will embarrass us both if you try to make more excuses for his behavior.

You have me all wrong, I was not sticking up for Coldfire, I was sticking up for Fran.
