I know! They're one of my favorite parings on the show, so I was so relieved. Seriously, though, Bates can be downright terrifying and I think if he actually figures out who it was, and I mean, he's already really suspicious, he may actually just do something drastic.

And what's up with Edith not being able to get a hold of Michael? Plot designed to make us, and her, worry? Or is something going to happen? I hope everything's alright, I love them and I want Edith to be happy, especially after Anthony Strallen.

My mom and I watch the show together and always fangirl about if afterward. It's nice to have something to connect over.

I can't blame him, per se, but I still don't want him to go after him. I'm afraid of what he will do and the consequences of it. I think it is incredible, that he loves her enough that he would be willing to do that for her.

I do love the grandmothers. The dynamic is great and the change is something I am very much enjoying.

I am! :) It's excellent!

P.S - Talking about that, does anyone like Period Dramas? I really enjoy watching those series, specially the BBC and other British adaptations of novels (well, generally they're British, but I've already watched excellent American Period Dramas).

I just finished season 4 and can't wait for season five!!! Downton Abbey is one of the best shows ever made in my book! My favorite characters are the dowager countess, Lady Mary, and, well, I really, really liked Matthew... Now I'm really, really like... Why, why, why, why, why?! I like Matthew's mom, too. She's a lover of people, and I appreciate that.

Every BBC series on Charles Dickens' novels were amazing. My family and I found Downton while browsing some BBC selections online. We've been hooked since the third episode.

One of my favorite quotes is of the dowager countess when Mrs. Crawley asks her if she hates to be wrong and replies, "I don't know... I'm not familiar with the sensation." funny.

Good Morning Nathrad!...

Should i say " great minds thing alike ?"...i too can't wait till season five, ( they've replaced Downton w/that DREARY "Selfridge " mess! ) which wins first prize for mis-casting, what were you thinking Jeremy Priven ?

I took note of that funny funny line in re to being wrong: " I don't know, i'm not familiar w/the sensation "...i actually wrote it down!...

Love mrs. Crawley's charachter, imo she's every bit as great an actress as Maggie Smith is....

Mary's voice is like MUSIC to me, the epitome of a British accent...

As i've said before, anyone who says TV stinks is clearly watching the wrong things.....

You're right when you say Mrs. Crawley is an amazing actress. She was so convincing as the grieving mom, I almost cried several times.
I love Mary's way with English, too. She has one of those voices anybody can listen to all day. I'd do my best to carry a conversation with her just so I could listen to her speak. Ha, ha
I was a little disappointed with Shirley McLane's character... She's such a fantastic actress and I think the role really condenses her abilities...
I enjoyed Kiri Te Kanawa's appearance on the show. She has a gorgeous voice at all times, though her high notes aren't what they used to be, so I'm glad the director decided to display her present strengths instead of making the whole thing a humiliation. People like to do that to opera divas...
