I understand the explanation perfectly or I think I do but I just want to make one sentence italic and not the whole paragraph, please help what am I doing wrong

For me to make a rating bold is like this on the following example [3 out of 5] stars and for italic it's [Fred] and you say when I hit preview they will show exactly as you want them in the review
