Nope, but it can be a suitable answer.

@DATo @Ant @Lunastella @Nerea
Ok, perhaps I was taken by the wave of imagination (I just discovered this mind feature, and I'm trying to exploit it).

Clues:
I'm round (not fat, but round).
I could set you on fire, literally.
My wife lights your path into the night.
Love is the only power out there that trumps hatred, grief, sadness, or anger.

@InStoree
No, you did fine. Like I said before it is really hard to come up with clues that make the riddle easy enough to solve and yet difficult enough to be a challenge. I was going to say "fog" but it didn't fit with all the clues. Then I was going to say "Phoenix" but that was actually INCLUDED in the clues *LOL*

And here's my riddle:
I'm a child but innocence is not a feat of mine.
I carry a weapon but I mean no harm.
I might make you suffer, I might make you cry. But overall I want you to smile.

What am I @InStoree, @DATo , @Nerea ?

And did you know, @Lunastella, that this child carried two types of ammunition for his weapon each of which had the opposite effect of the other? By the way ... I LOVE your congratulations banner!!!

No, that wasn't an answer to the riddle. I want to see if anyone else solves it. We might just call it an extra clue. *LOL*

So much for my undercover mission :lol: !
It is indeed a challenge to write a riddle, to find a balance between the clues and the tricky veils. But what amuses most is how our mind reacts to this game. Fog would have been a decent try, but Phoenix... 😂
Thanks for the spotlight, DATo. That's very kind of you :tiphat:
