I made that suggestion in my local library but they had concerns about books ending up coffee stained .... and they have some quite irreplaceable local history reference works, so I had to concede they had a point.Carla Hurst-Chandler wrote:The library is like my second home...well...at least an annexAnd the librarians? Literary goddesses. Now if only they had coffee and tea in the reference room again...

It was heavenly

My favorite old bookshop in Lebanon has a collection of heavy pottery mugs and coffee on when you step in

We are in a time where we can't always pick and choose so I get the feeling.StephenKingman wrote:Still a lab tecnhician, still have no passion for it and still only there for the paycheque!
I work in marketing and business development. It's a small online ecommerce business and because it's a small operation I often have to do more than what my job calls for - i.e. the admin and the customer service. But I don't mind, it keeps things varied (so a definite improvement from my previous job) and keeps me on my toes. So I like it.
I've also started volunteering at my local library, there were plans to shut it down due to limited funding unless they could get volunteers in - I love my library so any small part I can play to keep it going, I'll do it. I'm in training at the moment, but I think it's going to be fun

The guy told me that they don't have any openings and the employment agency should never have given me an application. The last time I had called there the girl just said, "They done hired somebody" and hung the eff up on me. That place is so rude. Maybe I don't wanna work there after all.
Doesn't sound like a professional set up .... you're probably better off out of it
