laci_baby wrote:Mike that's hilarious. Jeez... why would you just stand there and watch a rope come right at you slowly? Wheres a table when you need one? haha... i want her shoes. :D
Atleast she didnt do the hand thing with her screams... she just looked awkward. I love the fact that her mouths the only thing you notice. lol. Thank you for that side splitting laugh of the day!!!

Hope you have fun tonight Mike!!!

I love the Glow Stick idea Starqrider!!!
Ha because its always fascinating to see what the rope will do after its wrapped around your feet instead of, you know, running! That skeleton definitely gave me the biggest laugh in weeks.

Had a great time thanks Laci, my head a bit fuzzy but no real pain as i stuck to the cider only. Plenty of dressed up people around town lastnight although many of them just threw on a cardboard box with a pic of a ghost on it, i think the recession is hitting the holidays ha

Haha, well you know what?
I watched Mad Monster Party!
That's a classic Halloween time movie, I just love it. The claymation was hilarious, noticing all of the little things that they accidentally moved.

And I played my 2 softball games and lost terribly along with hurting my arm more...
But I walked around dressed as bacon, though I'm a vegetarian haha, and people were acting all crazy about it.

"Is that bacon?"
"Yes'm."
"OOHHHH MY GODDDDD!!!!! BAAAAACCCCCCCOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNN! AHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. DID YOU SEE THAT? BBBAACCCCOOOOONNNN!!!"

Why? I don't know... But it was a gas.

And then I went on a failed trick or treating thing with my sis-in-law at 9pm haha, only rang one doorbell... But we took my pup and had her dressed up as a cowgirl haha. Then we spent a good chunk of our time at the swings at the park trying to get her on a swing... And eventually I got on the swing with her on my lap which was actually more difficult than we thought. I swear, I had a full body workout in no time.

Then we snacked, went to a friend's house and baked, watched Mad Monster Party and then Corpse Bride.
Pretty decent Halloween, fun, but relaxing.
Also without the headsplitting Mike haha.

Oops! Sorry I posted in the wrong place. I don't know how I missed this thread. I thought it odd that no one had brought up their plans...

Anyway, we took our kids trick or treating of course, but then some of my girl friends and I did some haunted trails, etc. One of them had this TERRIBLE claustrophobia tunnel (produced professionally by Oak Island Productions- they have a catalog which is accessible online), which has to be the single most horrifying encounter I have ever had in any type of haunted event. It simulates suffication. I had a complete panic less than half way through and had to bail. Next time I decide to do something like that, I will make sure I've had some alcohol first.

Wow Amanda, that sounds quite unpleasant, and certainly not something you will ever do again, i imagine! But i hope you managed to have some good times out of all of that panic, do you watch horror movies at all?

(Dont worry about the thread, it happens all the time, some topics get buried day to day) :D

Yes, I love horror movies. Not really into the Saw series though- a little too freaky and gory. I loved Paranormal Activity and plan to watch the second one ASAP. "Devil" is the most recent one I've seen.

Some of my favorites:
The Blair Witch Project
The Grudge
When A Stranger Calls (older version)
The Shining
The Ring

I saw Devil recently too and enjoyed it. i think Shamylan is back on form, it will be interesting to see what the other 2 movies in the trilogy will be like. Also i would recommend Paranormal Activity 2, its no better or no worse than the original.

Wow, bar one movie (I hated the Grudge), i love all the classics in your list they all offer something different to the horror fan. Blair Witch is similar to Paranormal with the whole gritty realistic feel. :D

That surprised me. I thought this was one of the scariest movies I have ever seen. What didn't you like about it?

Haha... i went to a club where you have to dress up or they wont let you in. So i dressed up as a "girl." haha... i know the bouncer so he let me in...
But my friend went without dressing up. He just wore a name tag that said "Hi Im God" haha.... no one could debate with him for dressing up as that..... it was brilliantness.

I just found it a poor imitation of The Ring and wasnt convinced by the acting (Sarah Michelle Gellar was particularly flat) plus i actually was very amused by the whole look of the spirit, as in the japanese kid screaming with the wide mouth, very funny. :D

The Ring was more sinister in my opinion.

Aww... i love Sarah Michelle Gellar (yay Buffy! :D)
I think the only thing that actually freaked me out Grudge wise was the second or third (i dont remember...) when the little girl woke up with the little dead boy petting her head from behind...ugh. Everytime i wake up in the middle of the night i think of that and it freaks me out like crazy...
I sort of look like this  and jump out of bed all ninja like...

That's an accurate account for how you wake up everyday Tweedle Dum...

Honestly though, I didn't enjoy Paranormal 2 that much. I was bored, nothing scary in it.
We had watched Saw 3D then movie hopped. I didn't think the 3D was even worth it in Saw. also, I think that in the other movies there was more action and twisted traps, in this one there was more talky talky and investigating. Don't get me wrong, I still liked it. I do however like that there was a "scary" daytime scene in PA 2, and I loved how they almost never checked the cameras that they installed... Haha.

There is a big anti-Halloween push here in Australia, it is seen as an American imposition; and I cannot but agree.
