@Diana Lowery was so close because it's glasses. Just a specific kind of glasses that get lost a lot.DATo wrote: ↑23 Feb 2025, 16:09 Process of elimination: Diana was "so very close". but is she close in regard to keys, cell phones or glasses? Well, the ancient Chinese didn't have cell phones, nor did they have glasses (I don't think) so that leaves keys ... which also leaves DATo more stumped than ever.![]()

The first sunglasses were invented in 12th century China, made of smoky quartz. They were used by judges to hide their expressions while questioning witnesses.DATo wrote: ↑24 Feb 2025, 13:18Sunglasses ?María Andrea Fernández Sepúlveda wrote: ↑24 Feb 2025, 09:05

Excellent guess!!!! But not the correct one.

HINT: Far less known than Dracula's castle, but is, to some extent, associated with a flying creature.

The place which is the answer to the riddle is known to the greater public primarily as a result of one very famous novel and movie which starred several very famous actors of that period.

Not the Normandy coast but an ocean is involved in its setting.
Clue #3 - It is the sort of setting one might vacation in / at, but it is labeled as belonging to an evil entity, thus we will assume the evil entity owns it.
HINT: Consider all of the evil entities you can think of in possessive tense starting with the most evil. i.e Dracula = Dracula's ....the name is part of the answer.

You are SO very close, and your answer fills the clues perfectly, but no, the Devil would vacation somewhere else.
HINT: The "flying creature" mentioned before is the name of the novel and the 1973 film, the setting of which is the answer to the riddle.
