Hint: I visit you (usually) once a year.

I am a welcome part of your youth and I visit you from time to time.
You look forward to me.
But after I have arrived and have been with you for awhile you become bored with me.
After I leave and you return to your former routine you wish I were back again.

What am I?

Nope. Not Santa. It is not a person, but more of an "event".

My first set of clues should have said ... "I visit you each year." .... rather than "I visit you from time to time."

Yey! :banana-jumprope: I miss those times.

An easy one:

I can hide your true face with a fake appearance that would bring you more confidence. It was a time when you considered me vulgar, but now I'm almost indispensable. There are very few left who still feel confident without me.

What am I?

No matter how many times people take me I am always still available.
But though I am always available when people take me they do not want to be seen.
I can be a warm, embracing friend or a cold-shouldered enemy, it's entirely up to you.
If you haven't seen me lately you will probably see me soon.

What am I ?

@DATo Do you mind if I share this riddle on social media? I'm not only stuck, but I also hope that some of our fellow readers will join us.

You can if you like, but before you do let me amend the last line to ...

If you haven't TAKEN (instead of "seen") me lately you probably will TAKE me soon.

When you finally figure it out you will understand why "seen" would have been a legitimate word but it is confusing.

Nope, not drugs. But you did get the word "take" in the right context. It isn't something you take away but rather something you do, like "take a nap".

I would say a break, but why people don't want to be seen in a break?
