Just thought I would throw this thread out to get to know our community a little better. What do you do for a living, are you working or in college/school? Maybe you have been made redundant or are unemployed and looking for a job, share your replies.
I will start, im a laboratory analyst testing tablets which have been in various stages of stability. Good job, some downsides like all jobs but im grateful to have one.
What about you?

Interesting job Mr. Kingman. I am currently in Middle School, last semester I was in First Honor Roll(Aiming for Excellent Honors this semester), my entire school is weird. All the students are weird(including my self

), the teachers are rather 'peculiar'. If your wondering why everyone is 'peculiar' here is an example.

I was an office assistant and joined the ranks of the unemployed in July 2011. I had been working on my own side business dealing with photography, writing and editing services and small graphic design projects and am now working on building this into a full-time gig.

Im retired, just being a bum. Ive had a variety of jobs, truck driver, door-to-door salesman, janitor, warehouse worker, picked up and sold scrap metal, cutting firewood and selling it, movie extra. The last job I had was taking care of the dump in the town we lived in. Ive never had high class jobs, but I did ok. Im not complaining.

I've majored in computer science and I've been working as a IT helpdesk coordinator in a oil-based institute for about nearly 6 years now.

As if I haven't complained about it enough...
Primarily (full-time +) I'm a copy editor. Magazines for dullards, mostly. I get to work from home, though. So I'm the only person I know who has rats in their office! The only one that wants them there, anyway.-
Fulfillingly (it's a word 'cause I say it is!), I teach literacy and GED/HSEE English classes, and help people write scholarship letters, find grants, etc. I've seen "kids" (anyone who's younger than me is a kid) go from minimum wage/no diploma, to a four-year college degree...couldn't be prouder if they were my own. And whoa, the folks in my literacy classes...I've never seen so much courage packed into one room.
And I still tend bar, rarely. Not here.
And I've got the music thing.
And I model, every now and then (obviously). A more mindless activity does not exist on earth. Gia got it right.
I don't get much sleep.

I'm a software test engineer responsible for testing Air Traffic Control software for the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). I enjoy my job and especially like creating Air Traffic simulations. Never boring!

I'm a telemarketer. My typical workday consists of reading half a book and briefly annoying five hundred or so people. Which is great! any job that keeps my head clear, and my lovelies warm, safe, and fed, is fantastic. Eventually my legs and buttocks will tire of sitting, at which point I'll likely move on to some menial, slightly laborious employment with the same benefits, and that will be great too.

I seem to be a perpetual student. I'm back in Uni. full-time to get a second degree in French with Secondary education.
If I'm never able to make writing a stable job for myself, or open my own little shop, then I choose teaching. So third best thing isn't bad! Plus, it's languages! Even better!
Other than being a full-time student I'm a private tutor. Pay is great but hours are unpredictable.

I'm an American playing baseball in Japan. Right now I play third base for the Yokohama Unwashed Heathens, but
I have also done turns with the Nokamura Pagan Idolators, and the Kobi Faux Pas, where I also served as team mascot
by wearing white after labor day.
