How You Can Help Promote these Forums
Anyway, you may want to help promote these forums so we will have even more people joining and participating in our discussions. I am sure you agree that the forums are already great and that we already have a great community of people here. But the more the merrier, right?
Here are some ways you can help promote the Book and Reading Forums:
Send an email to your friends and family - If you have an email address book, you can simply send an email to all the people you know (whose email address you have) that you think might be interested in joining the forums. Make sure to include the URL of the forums.
Post a link on your website or blog if you have one - If you have a website, please put a link to the forums on your website. If you have a blog, you can put the link in your blog's sidebar. If you do not know how to do that, send me a PM, and I'll help you.
Make a blog post - If you have a blog, please make a post about the forums. It does not have to be long. I recommend just briefly explaining what the forums are and why you like them. Make sure to include a link to the forums in the blog post.
Use social networking profiles - If you have a profile on any social networking websites such as MySpace or Facebook, you can use them to tell your friends about the forums. You can put the URL of the forums in your profile. Also, most social networking sites have some sort of feature to allow you to write some type of bulletin or news post that all of your friends can see. You can use that to tell them about the forums and encourage them to join.
Suggest ways to improve the forums - This one is not direct, but it still helps. Please suggest ways to improve the forums. I want this website to be the best it can be. Your suggestions help me do that. It helps promote the forums because new visitors are even more inclined to join if the forums are even better with even more enjoyable features.
If you want to, those are some good, quick ways to let other people know about these forums. Also, if you do any of that in the near future, you probably want to also mention our short story contest.
Thanks,
Scott

For forum, active members and interesting threads are the key point to attract more traffic. We need to create more interesting thread to discuss and let more members show their point of view, thus, a good traffic cycle will be setup and grab more traffic to come here.
