NEW RIDDLE

Noble and white
I'm the title of a song from a famous musical.
I'm also considered a hard-earned prize.

What am I?

@María Andrea Fernández Sepúlveda

I don't know a lot about musicals so I will have to think about this for awhile. I'd put my bloodhounds on the trail of this riddle, but they are all on vacation - so a Skye Terrier will have to do ..... :animals-dogrun: .

Nope. Not a dove, @Sadiya_Khan. But it's something found in nature.

I was going to say The Impossible Dream from Man From La Mancha but it doesn't have anything to do with the color white. :eusa-think: I guess one could say a star is white, but that word is not part of the song title.

Then there is the song Mr. White from Carousel, but that doesn't fit the other clues.

Hint: the musical features Julie Andrews

Interesting... It's not a goat, but the unique place where [riddle answer] grows is full of goats.

I confess, even knowing the date of the musical's production and who is in it I can't find an appropriate song title.

OH!!! OH!!! OH!!! OH!!! OH!!!

Just as I was ready to give up, as I was typing this post, it hit me ...... Edelweiss ? .... from The Sound Of Music ?

It's white and you have to climb high in the mountains to find it and it is the title to a song in the musical.

WISHING EVERYONE A HapPy EASSTER !!!!

Happy Easter, you guys!
And you got it, @DATo, "Edelweiss" it is. A flower that grows in the Alps, hence, the goats.

Here's a link to the song, in case someone hasn't heard it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bL2BCiFkTk
