@Lunastella
Neither oceans or Mt. Everest
Luna would be closest, but you are both correct to think BIG... very big.
1) I am material in substance.
2) I am inanimate.
3) Songs have been written about me.
4) Some have considered me something of which to marvel, others consider me something to conquer.
HINT: Every human being on earth who is not visually handicapped has seen me at one time or another.
HINT 2: I am often seen in love movies and horror movies.

New riddle:
I am very large.
I am circular.
The person who created me (and for which I am named) originally made me as a landmark.
I am made for human enjoyment all over the world.

You got it, @Lunastella!
Fun facts I learned recently:
The “Ferris” wheel was constructed by George Washington Gale Ferris, Jr. in 1893 as a landmark in Chicago, IL. However, earlier forms predated this by centuries and were known as observation wheels (meant for viewing the surrounding area) and pleasure wheels (which were formerly spun by people). As of today the largest Ferris wheel is 250 meters (820 feet) in United Arab Emirates, constructed in October 2021. The previous record holder is in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, constructed in March of 2014 at 167.6 meters (550 feet) high.
