Do you use your book covers for wrapping paper?

Actually, I do! Since I don't understand the concept of buying paper that will get destroyed, I like to collect various things that make for interesting wrapping paper, especially Christmas wrap. I use old calendars, the Sunday comics (since they're printed in color), cloth (which I reuse. It's called furoshiki, and if you're interested, check YouTube for a wonderful demonstration!), packaging wrap (I'll even decorate it with markers, stickers, etc.), and old gift bags that I take apart. :D

Personally, I do not use the book covers for wrapping paper. My family has weird traditions so until you turn 56 years-old you do not get any gifts, so there is not much of a demand to wrapping paper. Plus we usually have a competition to see who can wrap presents and make them the most difficult to open (we use a lot of duct tape).

Oh never! I value books too much to see the cover eventually end up destroyed. I do agree though that buying a specific wrapping paper, which is expensive, that would eventually go to the trash is just pointless. I reuse gift bags that I receive over the years :P

Wow, that's a really good idea. I have never done that before. I'm going to try that though. Thanks for the idea! :)

I use other papers for wrapping such as the comics from the newspaper, magazines, or catalogs. I just cannot bring myself to purchase paper to throw away.

I understand your concept, but book covers... Unless you're thinking in recycling the book, it sounds like carnage to me...
I use the old regular wrapping paper or newspapers.

I just use good all fashion wrapping paper... book covers have sentimental value for me so I wouldn't want to waste them.

I never even thought of using a book cover as wrapping paper. The cover is there to be a dust jacket and protect the book!
