How Do I Read at Night Without Disturbing My Roomates?

Hey guys, well I live in a triple dorm, and I am an avid reader. I do own a Kindle, but I enjoy reading an actual book often.

My problem is, the only solution I have for reading an actual book at night is a lamp that is clamped onto my bed post behind me, and it is pretty bright, it brightens up about half the room.

Anyways, I feel bad when I do this, because I don't want to keep them up, but I also really want to read my book. What do you guys recommend? Is there a smaller lamp or light device I can buy?

I am open to all suggestions, and thanks for looking :)

One of those clip on book lights is the obvious or do what most of us did in the past - torch under the duvet

I am worried about the brightness of the clip on lights, do you think that they will be bright enough?

Thanks :)

You can get a reading light that you can attach to your book. That way you can keepmthe light more focused on your book.

Absolutely!.................... plus the one i have also works " free-standing " so that you don't have to clip it on to anything....

I guess there are plenty of night lights for reading available these days, that can be clipped on to the book and read under the blanket.

Yes, actually there is a mini light you can buy. It clamps onto your book. The light is fairly small and is only bright enough to let you read the book. I totally agree with you, I prefer reading an actual book over reading it on a Kindle or a Nook any day :)

You can usually buy little read I lights that clip to your bookbook. I enjoy reading actual books often but find it easier especially at night to just read from my tablet.

Small book light or an ebook reader with a backlight like a Nook Glow light or Kindle Paper white.
