A lot of performers do take drugs. Some it works on for a better performance, some it dosent. Miles Davis claimed his music was crap while he was hooked on heroin, and got better after he kicked the habit. The ones it does work on, I dont think it would be worth it to be on that junk just so they could perform better. They eventually end up in a bad way.

It's certainly a breach of ethics and I don't really follow sports...but possibly more use enhancement than don't...even with the physical consequences there's much money to be made as a pro athlete. I think especially with the younger ones, they aren't looking at long term or legality.

I've been a Yankee fan since Jesus wore The Pinstripes. There are a lot of us. To be a real Yankee you have to agree
to the spirit de corps that is integral to their endeavor. Rodriguez has never responded to that responsibility. If
Joe Torre(former Yankee manager and a sure bet you be voted into the HOF this year) doesn't like you, the rest of us
don't either. So, to us, his steroid use is of no consequence. Of course he used them, he's a jack-off. But NimRod's
most egregious sin is not steroids. He's a whore wearing the Pinstripes. And that will never be forgiven. Go, Yanks.

Do you feel the same about Pete Rose?

@Suzy
This is one of the posts blocked last week. I just got the go ahead to submit it.
Petey's problem isn't ' roids, it's gambling. He gambled on MLB games while he was still managing The Reds. He gambled
on Red's games and sometimes bet against his own team. Rose is no longer a member of Major League Baseball, a
condition he has agreed to. And there is a good chance he will be written out of MLB history. Rose is a pariah and
justifiably so. There's more to his story than gambling. People who are supportive of Rose
often forgive his excessive gambling habit. "Everybody gambles, WTF?." Even with his pension
and sales of Rose memorabilia, there's no way he can cover the millions he loses every year.
How does he do it? How can you cover $1 worth of loses with a nickel? You borrow. Not from a bank; from a shylock who charges you $2 to borrow a dollar. When Rose loses a grand, he's
really losing 3 Grand. MLB doesn't talk about his creditors. They should. It would end the
ridiculous talk from his illiterate public. Rose's gambling has been financed by the Mob since
he was in high school. He grew up around the Tracks in Northern Kentucky. Tracks owned by
the Mob and managed by wise guys operating out of Newport and Covington, Kentucky.
Rose's biggest fans don't care how many hits he has or what he has for breakfast. His fans
hope he never dies and that people will pay him for his signature whenever he sells baseball
bats at the Forum at Caesars in LV.
