Is anyone here paid to review books?

Post by LaurentGrek »

Hello
I love reading and since life has been somewhat difficult lately, I decided to make some use of this hobby.
I was told that one can actually be paid to review books and eventually found this website confirming it and offering that possibility.
Could anyone here please tell me if this is serious. Is anyone here being paid for reviewing books (given for free)?
If not, could you please give some piece of advice on this?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah you do. I have done a few paid reviews. Don't expect to make a lot off of it though. Its good for a little extra side money.

That's great! Even if it's not much, it's always a start. I guess paying my electricity bill through this is asking too much though...
Just one more question: do you know if I can publish the reviews I write here, on my personal blog too?
Thanks for answering

Oh, sorry for bothering you but just one more question. It says to request membership. In the usergroups tab which one I have to select, non-members/review team?

@LaurentGrek
Could I suggest you have a look at the FAQ section on the Homepage - most of your questions are probably covered there already.
