Careers at OnlineBookClub

Post by Scott »

Hi, All,

I am looking to fill a few unique positions:

YouTube Personality and Video Creator
Starting pay: negotiable, may be based in part on views and activity
Record and upload YouTube videos to the OnlineBookClub YouTube channel. This will also include video interviews with featured authors. You must be comfortable being on camera, since you will be the star and host of the YouTube channel. This position requires creativity, charisma, and significant IT skills including basic video editing. If applying to this position, please include (1) a link to your most popular social media account, (2) a link to a sample of your video you starred in (i.e. you on video), and (3) a sample of a video that for which you did the editing and filming.

Mobile App Developer
Starting pay: negotiable
Experience programming, designing, and developing apps for Android and iPhone. It's preferred that you are also fluent in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
If applying for this position, please include the link to an app you programmed so we can sample your work.

Apparel Designer and Retailer
Pay: Commission on Sales
I am looking for someone to design and sell OnlineBookClub-branded apparel, such as t-shirts, hats, hoodies, etc. It's preferred that you have experience both with graphic design and selling custom apparel. I am flexible about which company you use to print and ship the appeal, so if you have experience with a certain company (e.g. Zazzle, Custom Ink, etc.), we can use that one.

Literary Agent
Starting pay: 15% of author royalties earned (negotiable)
We get many requests from writers to refer them to a literary agent. Thus, we are looking to formally partner with an experienced literary agent with a track record of success; in other words you need to have landed a publishing deal for previous clients with one of the big five publishers (or one of their subsidiaries). The terms of the partnership are negotiable. For instance, we can simply refer clients to the literary agent who runs their own external company, or you can work exclusively for under our brand. Experience as a literary agent is required. If applying for this position, please give us the name and of the most well-known author for whom you not only worked but also successfully landed a publishing deal.

If you are interested in one of the above positions, please email me at

You must include the following in your email:

1. Which of the above positions you are applying for.
2. A detailed description of your experience related to that position.
3. Your full legal name.
4. Your full address.
