Does study often take away from your reading?

I know that many members of this site are probably not in school or studying as a student, but for all of the people who are, I'd like to share in your thoughts.
I've recently reached the final years of my schooling (well, final years of high school at least) and the work load is very intense and I can never find enough time to read. There are factors in life in which I need to balance such as school, and work, and family/friends and these alone take up almost all of my time. And when I say I don't get to read often, I am not including textbooks! I certainly read enough of those. I mean reading for pleasure as a hobby.
So do you ever find yourself lacking a good read, or are so surrounded by due assignments that you never really get a chance to just sit and lose yourself in a book? And if so, what do you do about it?
Let me know your thoughts on this :) they're much appreciated!

I'm no longer a student, but involved in two academic research projects on top of my day job so I still have the issue of needing to have stuff prepared in time for research meetings. Most of my reading is now done in the wee hours, when I'm awake, and can't get back to sleep because I'm thinking about all the stuff I have to get done. Fortunately, one of the research projects involves a lot of reading of material that's a blast to read, and which I would not be allowed access to if I weren't part of the research team.

It can do for some people but I always try to create a bit of time to read to relax.

During my undergrad and postgrad days I never had time for reading for pleasure. I don't think I read one novel in those six years!
I think I have made up for lost time though.

When I was in school a few years ago studying did take away some of my reading time. I had to decided which was more important to me and school won out. There was some classes that I took that did not require to much studying at least not for me and I was able to pick up reading the normal amount that I always did.
