I have always loved the word somnambulist since having it in a spelling test when I was about 8. Our teacher was about 100 and I am sure she was wheeled in and out of the class cupboard at the start and end of the day. She really didn't like children and always gave us ridiculous things to do which were much too old for us. The spellings were always long words that weren't used very often. I loved the spellings as my Mum would help me learn them and then we would take the longest word and try and find as many smaller words in it as we could, so it helped with all aspects of spelling. I only remember somnambulist which reminds me of my Mum x

Amalgamate. My professor used it yesterday and another also used it today. I'm starting to think they are overusing the word.
