If book nerds ran the world, what would you ask for?

I was thinking about this today. What if the world were run by book nerds, people such as ourselves? I know a few things I would ask for are:
--When huge book releases (such as The Deathly Hallows, for example) were published, I would allow a national "optional" work day.
--I recently moved, and loading all of those books was a pain. I would ask for free book-moving companies to be created, even if they were volunteers.
--The invention of a waterproof regular book format and waterproof e-reader would be top priority (so I can read in the bathtub)!

A pause button for life so you could read just one more sentence, one more page, one more chapter.
An invisible, sound proof, tent to keep you safe from interruptions.
And I agree with the optional work day.
Authors to be better taken care of. If they can give us all this joy shouldn't they get more in return?
Release day events for books that aren't already movies!
(I know there are some, but not many, and few that actually happen everywhere at once.)
Immortality to read everything you could ever want.

I hope they distribute free books, or sell books at a lower price.
I hope they encourage a national day of reading, where people do nothing for the day but reading.

I'd ask for jobs that involve reading. There should be people who read aloud for others instead of everyone sitting down and watching the tv. I'd like that (and then maybe I could get a truly enjoyable job, too...)

The same. but 5 free books a month, so you have stuff to keep you happy and ready for the next month.
