Bullying

Post by rnoya29 »

I have noticed that bullying has recently increased :( i don't like it. in my opinion i think it pointless to put someone down for a persons sick games. Not only is it stupid but it leave internal scars and that's only if the person bullying another person didn't leave permanent damage physically. please tell me your opinion on this i want to see other peoples points of view on this topic.

Bullying, in my experience usually comes from a sense of self-protection from one's own insecurities. It isn't always the case, but often the bully is trying to find meaning or worth in their life by putting others down and intimidating them to try and puff themselves up in their own view as well as trying to look good or "cool" to others. We all show our insecurities in different ways and this, unfortunately, is one of the very worst ways it happens. A right perspective of who we are is needed to have these kind of conflicts stop and that is one of the most difficult things for us to achieve! Especially by ourselves.

That's why it is so important for everybody, especially children as they are growing up, to have that safe place where they can talk openly about their troubles before they bury them and later reap a harvest of the garbage that just grew from being buried so deep inside of them. It never goes away that way, it just festers and grows. That's why Mom and Dad are so important to give that safe place for their children to come to with their insecurities, problems, and questions. They need to BE there for their children to help them to not bury anything inside that they do not want to have to deal with later on in life. Because it is very, very true that we do indeed reap what we sow.

Sadly some children don't have that privilege some are born with parents who don't care about their feelings and thats why they are the way they are and thats how the bullying starts because they want some type of way to relieve their fustration and emotions on their victims which sucks alot :(

Sometimes mom and dad don't have the time. It's unfortunate but true. If I ever have children I want my kids to feel as though they can tell me anything. I consider myself a reasonable person, so I hope that they'd feel safe in talking to me. Sometimes children avoid discussing it because they'd be considered "weak", but that's just schoolyard mentality. I'd hope my children were sensible enough to realize that the other kids are probably "weak" themselves and probably just feel unloved :)

Unfortunately, the parents themselves can be bullies, in which case their children don't know anything different.
Another problem is the mentality schools sometimes have in dealing with bullies.
If it's not dealt with in the right way it leads to more or worse bullying.

Cyber bullying is also something new we are having to deal with! It seems like it would be easier to deal with, but for younger people on the internet, it's just as bad. I am so bad with dealing with bullies...
