Is anyone else upset about the lack of bookstores?

I just want to be able to go into a nice local bookstore/coffee shop and read or something. I don't want like a nice Barnes and Noble. I want it to have a nice homey feel where the workers and I can talk about books.

I agree with you about that. I am disappointed in the amount of bookstores we don't have. we do have one bookstore but its across town and in a very inconvenient location so I don't make my way over to that side of town very often.

Totally agree. I like a no pressure environment where I can easily spend 5-6 hours reading one book, without any interruptions.

Is it true that at Barnes and noble if you just sit down and read after so long they make you leave or buy the book?

It is difficult to find the yesteryear attitude at the big chain store today. It is just another thing that is slowly slipping away in our culture and we might not see again. Very sad really.
