If you were stranded out in the cold with only a book and some matches what would you do?
Would you burn the book to get what little warmth you could or go in search of dry wood to burn

Seems to me that a book wouldn't burn for very long nor make a significant difference in how warm you are. Burning it would be rather pointless.

I'm pretty practical. If I was cold first thing I would do is get moving to exert some energy, get warm and check out my resources. Burning a book would not keep me warm for long…it might be better used for toilet paper if I couldn't find leaves :shock:

I'd be helpless. I have no survivorship skills. But from a philosophical point, I would burn the book if I thought it would help. Safety is my first priority, more often than not. Good question!

I would search for wood. Burning a book wouldn't last long or provide much heat.

I would gather dry wood because who knows how long I'll be there, and I'd need something to do to keep me from going crazy.
