Hi all, I hope you don't mind me asking for your help. I'm looking for a few fairly specific books that so far I've struggled to find. Before I go on, I apologise for any grammar or spelling mistakes; I'm using a tablet PC and as much as I love my Hudl, I do struggle with touchscreen.
So I'm looking for the following;
For my wife, books that will introduce her to the sports of cricket and field hockey in Spanish. That's important as my wife's first language is Spanish and whilst her English is very good, my wife has never seen either cricket or hockey played so think learning about them in her first language would be better. As much as anything, learning about cricket can be like learning a new language anyway.
I'd also like to find some books in English that are good for her to read and improve her English. Monica is a big fan of Paulo Cohelo and I've bought her all his books in English. I did think about buying her Harry Potter but because those books use a fair number of words not normally used in the English language, I'm a little hesitant. Any advice please?
For me, I'm looking for books in English to help me learn about Latin America. I would love to red in Spanish but y Spanish is dreadful at the moment, so buying a book I Spanish is - and I mean no offence - a waste of time at the moment.
