Both weigh the same because they have the same weight ( 1kg = 1kg).

But if you really think which two is heavier and we will never try to say about the state of weight of those things, it would be nails.

well, everyone knows the answer to nail-cotton question now, but the funny thing is that the answer was not that obvious when we were kids :)
