Page Number or Location Number

So I noticed from the last book I read (Karmic Selling), that the page number of the book changes once I switched devices. When I used my phone in reading on the OBC app it showed a different page number and when I changed to my tablet, still with the same OBC app, the page number was no longer the same. Which got me confused because of how I was going to log in errors if I found them while reading.

What I eventually did was to stick to my tablet because it allowed for more words on each page, then used the page I found the error, also I added sub topics from the book so the errors or profanity were easy to locate.

Have you encountered this issue before? What did you do?
