Verify Name Via Facebook?

Can someone please clarify:

If you verify your name, does that automatically change your user name? Or is there a way to verify your given name yet keep your user name?

I have resisted verifying my name because I don't want to be forced into using my real name as my OBC alias. Yet, one can only become Level 6 by doing so...which also makes me wonder what do people who don't have a Facebook account do, or people whose FB is less than two years old? Or people who use an alias as their FB name?

Verifying your name automatically changes your name on OBC profile. You're at liberty to change the name after verification. However, you will forfeit your points for verification. If your facebook page is less than a year or two then you do not qualify for the verification yet.
