My cats (updated w/ pics)

Post by Dori »

I just adopted two 10-12 week old kittens from the animal shelter. They are beautiful. They've been causing havoc since I've taken them home. But I still love them.

Apparently, these cats were rescued from an animal hoarder who had 40 cats. These two kittens were horribly malnurished. They were fed spaghetti once a week. Spaghetti!!! They were rescued and nursed to health by the animal shelter. Now they are purr-fectly healthy.

I'm having trouble naming one of them though. The other's name is Carmen. Carmen is the spanish form of the name Carmel and is infulenced by the latin carmen, meaning "song". My mom said she had to study George Bizet's opera 'Carmen' and said it fit perfectly.

I'll post some pics once I get them uploaded into photobucket.

Cute! I only get my pets from the animal shelter. I have two dogs from there- one purebred Schiperke who was 10 and just dropped off in a park with 2 prego females (he was a stud) and a little 2 year old half chihuahua/ terrier dog that was very sick. They were both going to be put down- the older one b/c he was too old to be adopted and the other b/c they could afford to pay for the medical treatment he needed. Forget that. They're the best dogs ever. I got the old guy first- and a year later the little one. They're my best friends. I highly recommend it.

Adopting from an animal shelter is probably the best choice for someone looking for a companion. It cost me $140 for these kittens and that includes their shots and being spayed. Plus, they gave me a bag of litter and a big bag of kitten food for free.

Oh, the other kitten's name is Eve.

Your cats are cute...have you named the second one? How about Lily or maybe Flower.

I haven't got any pets but I love cats. We're moving in one year and we're allowed cats in the new place so we're getting one from the animal shelter.

Dori they are cute. I normally don't like cats, the fact that i am allergic. but yours are adorable. I am normally a dog person.

your kittens are adorable!!! whenever i go anywhere that sells puppies or kittens i feel like buying them all.

i always wanted a kitten or a puppy because they're so cute and little...so a while back i got a dog, his names Jackson, but i call him Boy...and now hes not little, hes still cute tho. lol

what odd is i named him that...and i despise Micheal Jackson.

I agree. I could take a few pictures of my older cat, if anybody's interested.

Yeah, I can resize them when I upload them onto photobucket. I'll try to get some pics, but the batteries are running low on my camera.
